MOTTO MOTTO RAISE $20K FOR THE STARLIGHT CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION
When good brands, good food and good hearts pull together, extraordinary things can happen.
Thanks to an incredible combined effort from Motto Motto, the Starlight Children’s Foundation and our guests, an impressive $20,000 was raised to help bring happiness to over 500 sick kids and their families through Starlight’s vital hospital programs.
Motto Motto’s fundraising initiative exceeded its initial goal to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children. The funds raised will ensure Starlight continues to deliver its vital hospital services, including Captain Starlight and the Starlight Express Rooms to over 500 sick kids across the country, including the Queensland Children’s Hospital, The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Monash Children's Hospital and more.
Four thousand restaurant guests embraced the opportunity to purchase a mini-Motto meal in January, with $5 from each purchase supporting Starlight. Plus, each participating guest received a FREE Motto Motto branded bento lunch box, perfect for the back-to-school list.
While guests had three weeks to participate in the campaign, the free bento box offer ran out in just 10 days. A fantastic result!
Chief Financial Officer Lisa Yao said, “This activity was a huge success! Our owner operators, guests and restaurant team were simply thrilled to be able to help families in need, and so many of our guests went above and beyond by giving more to Starlight by donating online while dining in our restaurants. We’re truly humbled by everyone's generosity and we hope to continue this partnership in the future.”
