BYO beer & wine | TERMS & CONDITIONS

These BYO Alcohol Terms & Conditions (“BYO Terms”) apply at participating Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen venues where BYO is permitted.
1. Participating restaurants
BYO alcohol is permitted at Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen - Newmarket.
BYO is not available at any other Motto Motto restaurants unless expressly stated.
BYO availability may be withdrawn or restricted at any time, including for specific dates, times, or events.
2. Legal drinking age & identification
BYO alcohol is strictly limited to patrons aged 18 years and over.
Valid photo identification is required.
If acceptable ID is not produced, BYO alcohol will be refused and may be required to be removed from the premises.
3. Minors & underage alcohol (strict prohibition)
Alcohol must not be supplied to, consumed by, or made available to any person under 18 years of age.
Motto Motto operates a strict zero-tolerance policy in relation to the supply of alcohol to minors. Any attempt to supply alcohol to a minor, whether directly or indirectly, is strictly prohibited.
This prohibition applies in all circumstances, including where a minor is accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Any breach of this condition will result in immediate removal of alcohol from the table and may result in patrons being asked to leave the premises.
4. Responsible consumption & management rights
In accordance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Motto Motto promotes responsible consumption of alcohol.
We reserve the right to refuse BYO alcohol, stop consumption, or require alcohol to be removed at any time, including where a patron appears intoxicated, disorderly, or poses a safety risk.
All patrons must comply with staff directions at all times.
5. Permitted alcohol
Unless otherwise advised in writing:
BYO is limited to beer & wine only.
Spirits, liqueurs and homemade alcohol are not permitted.
All BYO alcohol must be in its original sealed container prior to opening.
6. Quantity limits
BYO alcohol is subject to reasonable quantity limits per table to support responsible consumption.
Management reserves the right to impose or vary limits at any time.
7. Corkage / service fee
A corkage fee of $2 per person applies.
Corkage is payable per person, regardless of how much alcohol is consumed.
8. Consumption on premises only
BYO alcohol may only be consumed within the restaurant and in approved dining areas, with the consumption of a substantial meal (eg, donburi, ramen, curry, udon).
Alcohol must not be taken outside the premises for consumption.
Any remaining alcohol must be handled as directed by staff.
9. Safety & glassware
BYO alcohol may only be consumed using approved glassware provided by Motto Motto.
If a breakage or safety risk occurs, BYO privileges may be withdrawn immediately.
10. Compliance with laws
All BYO alcohol consumption must comply with the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and applicable legal, regulatory, and venue-imposed requirements.
All Motto Motto staff are RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) trained and will ensure compliance with the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and Motto Motto BYO terms.
Motto Motto reserves the right to update these BYO Terms at any time.
